Our Review of Leptovox
To say that Leptovox (official Leptovox site is here) has had its bit of controversy surrounding its apparent success is definitely an understatement. When I begin taking a hard look at Leptovox for this review, we were surprised at the number of people out there attempting to knock Leptovox down a notch or two. Naturally, I was intrigued.
The idea for Leptovox came about while the “Inventor” was watching Oprah, and there was a Dr. Perricone on there, discussing Ten Superfoods. (see the Ten Foods as discussed on Oprah’s site here). These superfoods apparently slow the aging process considerably. Being curious, the Inventor ate those ten foods for ten days and claims that many positive benefits resulted.
Because some of these ten superfoods are fairly expensive to buy in bulk, the Inventor decided to concoct a pill that had extracts of each of the superfoods. You can read about each of these Leptovox ingredients at length here.
And thus was born Leptovox.
The main Leptovox site makes some apparently outrageous claims to be sure:
His adult acne had DISAPPEARED!…He Lost 10 Pounds in 10 Days WITHOUT Exercise!
Ten pounds in ten days seems like a stretch. Here’s where I implement my patented Quarter-Pounder approach to statements like these: Multiply the claim by 1/4. This is probably a rule you can implement not only when evaluating potential diet pills such as Leptovox, but also implement for life in general. A salesman will always take the one extreme case and use that as their “usual” result, even though it most likely represents an anomaly.
So according to my very un-scientific Quarter-Pounder approach, Leptovox probably helps you shed 2.5 pounds in ten days.
Because that really is just a gut check, I did more research into actual customer results who used Leptovox as recommended (I’ll note here that the Inventor recommends a healthy diet and exercise, which is the responsible thing to do). The only source of customer results I could find were on eBay. While eBay has had its share of fraud (any large online marketplace would), there is something I really do like about their system.
The Feedback.
The main seller of Leptovox sells much more than just that one diet pill. It looks like they offer skin scrubs, washes, diet pills geared toward specific genders, and much more. I combed through their countless feedback on eBay to find the feedback specific to Leptovox. Here are a few I found:

Now granted, I coudn’t go through every single Leptovox review on eBay, so I just went through the first dozen or so pages, pulling out those feedback related to Leptovox. The seller has a solid reputation on eBay, with >98% feedback, which is impressive.
You may be asking why I’m so concerned about the feedback for Leptovox from acutal users? Well, that’s pretty simple. The only way to really find out if it works is to 1) buy the money and try it or 2) read the reviews of others who have used Leptovox in the past. I highlighted the two negative reviews I found, and they both sounded pretty harsh. But a >90% success rate fares well in the weight loss arena. I don’t think it’s anything for the Leptovox Inventor to be ashamed of.
The only downside to eBay feedback is that it’s so short. I’d really like to have more detail from these customers besides “Awesome” or “actually worked”. To that end, I’ve set up a page where Leptovox customers can leave their review of Leptovox here. While the feedback there is still being gathered, I think it will prove to be a great resource for those interested in trying Leptovox, but not wanting to waste their money if it doesn’t work.
Purely from an ingredients standpoint, it goes without question that Leptovox contains some very healthy ingredients. Many of those extracts have been used for centuries for different ailments, or preventative care. Personally, I’m not terribly surprised that supplementation with Leptovox produces positive results. It goes without saying that it will work best when supplemented with regular exercise and a healthy diet.
While the hokey website is a bit too, well, hokey for my taste, I think it can be put aside to evaluate the efficacy of the supplement itself. Again, I lean on the seller’s feedback from actual customers; not from third-party sites interested in pushing their own products at the cost of consumers.
Finally, the price, in my opinion, seems more than fair. Having been around the diet pill industry for a long time, I can tell you right now that the Inventor of Leptovox must find some type of enjoyment from making smaller margins than his or her competitors. Standard margins in the diet pill industry can be north of 400%! Leptovox appears to care more about market share than market gouging. It’s an approach I like.
In the end, it’s up to you to decide if Leptovox is something you’d try. Just to reiterate, the claims are probably a little bit exaggerated (what advertiser doesn’t do that?). The ingredients contained therein are healthy, and effective. The price is certainly fair. The feedback seems to speak for itself.
